Read more about visualization video processors in action.

Vista Spyder X-20
The Christie Spyder X-20 is a versatile hardware-based video processor combined with the flexibility of a universal routing switcher that enables large megapixel displays with increased frame rate capabilities for new levels of visualization functionality.
What separates the X-20 from everyone else is its total capability package at a high frame rate. The X-20 supports up to 20 mpx bandwidth at a native 120 Hz frame rate with source inputs/outputs up to WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution combined with the capability to rotate the image for portrait mode displays.
Users can take any 2D or 3D source format and blend, window, mix, scale and then route the signal to any destination – quickly and easily. The X-20 allows for ultra high-resolution digital inputs and outputs, along with extra flexible display support and an amazing source-overlapping capability.
Enhancements
The Spyder X20 contains features of the current Spyder and the URS. The key enhancements that the X20 has over the current Spyder and URS include:
- The X20 has a up to 20 mega pixel bandwidth within the unit; the Spyder has just over 6 mega pixels in a single frame group
- True preview capabilities with live preview, on-the-fly editing and offline preview capabilities
- Any output can be rotated to display horizontal images
- Window labeling without using up a layer
- Advanced ‘auto-sync’ functionality
- Fast still store functionality
- Up to 2650 x 1600 on inputs and outputs
- Discreet parallel expansion capabilities
- Lower price point when compared to some Spyder solutions
- Multiple destinations (URS is single destination)
Immerse yourself in Advanced Visualization
You simply cannot create more vivid, more comprehensive imagery than Spyder visualization. That’s because Spyder meticulously integrates and configures complex hardware and software while allowing for the interplay of ever-changing human factors. Spyder can actually project you into a 3D space, creating a real-world environment you can view from all angles. The result is an immersive visual environment that changes the way people approach their workflow processes—and the way they think.
Immersing yourself in Spyder’s display format creates the sensation of becoming one with the application. This is more than a marvelous effect—it allows you to make sound decisions based on detailed, accurate visualizations. Spyder’s 3D capabilities can be utilized with flat or curved screens that completely fill your peripheral vision. This 3D/VR application can display real-world objects that cannot normally be seen, such as molecule shapes, air and liquid dynamics, and weather patterns.
Real time
What separates Spyder from everyone else is its total capability package at a high frame rate. In a world where real time is critical, Spyder is the next best thing to being there. The Stereoscopic (SSO) feature allows both mono and stereo picture-in-picture (PIP) windows simultaneously, and you can add, remove, resize and reposition windows dynamically or with pre-programmed sequences, whichever you choose. The seamless architecture prevents critical information from being lost and allows you to store background images and digitally annotate across all channels with scaled image output.

Designed with end-user applications in mind, Christie Twist™ provides the ability to expertly edge-blend multiple curved images seamlessly, on all four sides, for up to 6 projectors. Users can precisely control multiple edge-blended images seamlessly and warp displays to virtually any projection surface – flat, curved or spherical screens.
The internal hardware module is integrated into the 10-bit image processing module. Once the warping and blending grids are set for multiple projectors, the properties are stored on the projectors and on the external PC. Multiple blend and warp properties can be stored on the projectors – providing easy access and immediate recall of settings.
An optional upgrade, Christie Twist™ Pro software offers the following additional capabilities:
- Single license of Christie Twist™ Pro supports an unlimited number of projectors per array
- Allows an unlimited and arbitrary number of grid lines (up to and beyond a 10'x 10' warping grid)
- Advanced edge blending
- Rotate and Flip capabilities
- Gradient preview of edge blends
- Brightness uniformity controller

Christie AutoCal™
You don’t need to be a projector expert to maintain a blended projection display and keep it running at top visual performance! As part of Christie’s TrueIMAGE Integrated Tools, our automatic display system calibration can calibrate almost any arrayed projection display, from flat to cylindrical to spherical, and adjust it to its original optimized viewing configuration.
A simple checkbox interface makes interaction incredibly user-friendly allowing users to re-calibrate both geometry and blending with unequalled accuracy.

The display calibration solution from Christie offers reduced location resource requirements and increased customer independence in terms of maintaining your multi-projector displays. To get the results you require, auto calibration allows you to spend your time using your display, not maintaining it.

Advanced Color™
With Christie Advanced Color™, users don’t need to be an expert to set-up and maintain expertly color matched projection arrays.
As the latest addition to the Christie TrueImage™ integration solutions suite of tools, Christie Advanced Color™ uses an automatically guided process that enables advanced color matching regardless of the complexity of the display, or level of experience of the user. It can be ordered as part of the Christie AutoCal™ solution, or as a standalone option with a Christie integrated display.
Using a precision light meter, multiple measurements of each projector are taken and fed directly into the computer for an accurate measurement of the actual output of the display. The computer performs the calculations and places the color mapping information on the projectors – that information stays on the projector until you choose to re-tweak the system.
Christie Advanced Color™ offers a higher quality displays, reduced downtime for system maintenance, and with no technical expertise required, a larger number of users can maintain the display, . To get the results you require, Christie Advanced Color™ allows you to spend your time using your display, not maintaining it.
