Video Overview

Christie uses a unique split head design for what is currently the world’s brightest event staging projector, the Roadie 25K.

Event staging projectors by prerequisite of their performance are not small.  By using a split-head design we manage the size and weight making it easier and cheaper to freight, removing the need for special shipping considerations.

On site it is common for event projectors to be moved and positioned using a forklift. Sometimes such services are unavailable or unsuitable for the venue. Casters can be fitted to the Roadie 25k’s staging frame and the projector wheeled around, reducing the need for lifting (aided or otherwise).

The Roadie 25K’s unique split head design is achieved by removing the lamp ballast from the projection chassis. The lamp ballast can now be placed over 30 meters and connected by an interconnect cable comprising two DC cables; a control cable and safety interlock cable.
