Christie® MicroTiles™ – the new digital canvas
Christie MicroTiles offer an innovative and unmatched alternative to traditional video wall cube and tiling solutions, thanks to their unique design. MicroTiles deliver the highest resolution possible, with virtually invisible seams and image quality second-to-none.
Only 10 inches (260mm) deep and 20 inches (520mm) diagonal, these incredible modular digital display tiles can be used to create display walls of practically any shape and size. Lightweight tiles lock together quickly and easily, and there is no geometry alignment required for field setup. Christie MicroTiles also allow you to set levels as required for the application or to reduce power consumption.
Rear screen projection - Ideal for control room settings
In 1999 Christie was the first to introduce Rear Projection Modules – complete self-contained projection display engines that can be integrated into a variety of customized display wall designs.
There are many benefits of using a rear projection display system in a control room application. You gain ultra-high resolution with superior contrast ratios and ideal brightness, along with maximum flexibility for your room design.
Rear projection allows for greater control of ambient lighting to reduce operator eye-strain without sacrificing picture brightness and contrast ratios. With our display structures, the light from the projection engine is directed onto the screen. There is no unwanted light seepage into the control room. Rear projection screens can produce brighter images, optimize screen gain and reject ambient light. The appropriate screen technology can greatly enhance the image quality and wall performance.
Another great benefit of using rear projection with optical screens is that there is no image retention or burn-in effect that you commonly see in LCD monitors. This allows you to display standard content templates without fear of damaging the screen.
