Texas Instrument’s DLP chips are built with millions of tiny mirrors that are spaced less than one micron apart. They produce razor-sharp images with incredible colour and brightness. Capable of extremely high contrast ratios, DLP chips provide crisper whites, ultra-rich blacks and images that “pop” on-screen. A single-chip DLP projection system can create up to 16.7 million colours and up to 1,024 shades of gray. Our 3-chip projectors are capable of producing more than 35 trillion colours.
DLP Cinema® technology
DLP Cinema® technology is the new standard for “Hollywood” picture quality. Christie’s Solaria Series projectors utilize the latest DLP Cinema® technology to bring the viewer an incredible all-digital picture.
BrilliantColor™
Christie’s single-chip DLP® projectors projectors feature BrilliantColor™ multi-primary image processing technology from Texas Instruments. BrilliantColor produces an expanded on-screen colour spectrum that delivers enhanced colour saturation for bright, true-to-life images. DLP systems utilise up to six-colour processing to enhance the range of available colours onscreen, giving the viewer a truly lifelike image.
3-chip DLP® projectors
Our lineup of 3-chip DLP® projectors offers the broadest range of brightness and resolution choices, while providing high efficiency and low cost of ownership. Our 3-chip projectors are capable of producing more than 35 trillion colours.
LED-based illumination with InfraRGB™ (RGB + IR)
The Christie Matrix StIM projector is the first to provide independent control over both the visible and infrared image. It’s the first intelligent projection system to enable real-time balancing of colour and brightness, as well as black levels. And it’s the first simulation system designed with solid state illumination - there are no consumables for a virtually maintenance-free system.
The Christie Matrix StIM employs our InfraScene™ technology with a 4-band LED illumination source that enables new levels of NVG training fidelity to train and rehearse for night operations and mission with restricted visibility. In addition to the Red, Green and Blue primaries, InfraScene utilises a separate infra-red LED to ‘stimulate’ the operational Night Vision Goggles.
LCD projection
In Christie's LCD projectors, 10-bit image processing is utilised to provide smooth transitions between discrete colours and much better representation of the colours we experience in day-to-day life. Capable of reproducing over 1 billion colours, 64 times the quantity of colours reproduced by an ordinary 8-bit LCD panel, the 10-bit processor provides a more realistic video image.
Range of aspect ratios
Christie offers a variety of projectors that support 4:3, 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios for any application. We can help you carefully match the pixel format of the projector with that of the source to be displayed, ensuring the best image quality and maximum impact. We also offer a range of brightness and resolution options so you’re sure to find one that will match your application requirements.
Spectacular image quality
You can be confident that when you select a Christie display system, you’re selecting the best. Christie utilizes cutting-edge technology to ensure that your audience/viewers will be engaged by the highest quality image possible. Matching the perfect brightness, processing capability, resolution, and colour spectrum for your application will produce amazing performances, presentations, simulations, and more. From the smallest boardroom to the most complicated live event, Christie projectors have your needs covered with spectacular image quality.
